If you can't think of a url, try our main website www.canzdesign.com and in a couple of days you can check out the old www.RainbowTourism.com we are just putting the finishing touches to the new RainbowTourism.com website, and it will be live by this weekend 9-11-07 maybe sooner.I hope this one gives you all a smile, or jogs your memory.

Best way to get good links

So what is the best way to get good reliable links?

Well it depends on how much you want to spend and how often you want to spend it. It is possible to buy links from many places, if you are looking for "Free links" they maybe free, but they cost a lot in time to do them, and I have already mentioned in the last post things you might do, the only other thing you can do is appoach other business owners, perferably the same business as your's, in your distict and ask for a link exchange.

I'm working on a idea at the moment which will be avaiable in a month, that will supply links, good links for about $20 each, I'm sure you will want to work on making a few yourself, before you see that $20 each for a good permanant link is a bargin.

Getting your website to #1 in search engines

Hi, this will be my first post, so thought it best to make it important.

The only way to get to #1 in search engines, is to get a lot of links coming to your website perferably without any links leaving your website.

The fast cheap way to get these links: .... there isn't one....
Building up links takes either a lot of time, or a lot of money paying someone someone else to do it.

How many links am I talking about?
Well without getting too techy, I'll say heaps, 100 is a good target.

So what's the problem, submitting your site to directory's doesn't cost much.
The problem is that links from directory's, aren't worth much either, don't get me wrong, I submit all the websites I do SEO for to directory's, but not because they will get the sites high ranking, but because it helps raise the number of visitors to the site without high rankings.

Whats the ranking thing about? Google assigns a rating or raking to a website, this rating it called PR (Page Rank) and it uses this ranking to decide which website will show first in it's results. The home page of a website will always have the highest ranking, then if links within your website are done correctly the ranking will often drop by one point for each level away or deep from the main page, the webpage is, so if your home pages PR is 4, then a webpage thats 4 levels deep, will have no page rank.
There are exceptions to this rule, but in general thats the case.

So how to I get these links.
As I mentioned above, the ideal link is just a link coming to your website, you can get these by postings a comment on some blogs, by making posts in forums, by paying for links, there a problem with this though, or actually 2 problems.

  1. Most blog and forum owners, especially ones with a high PR, disable links from people posting, if they allow allow people posting to even add their link in the first place.
  2. The link needs to appear on a webpage that has a good PR itself, and PR takes a while to build up, so if you make a posting on a forum, if could take months even years for the page to recieve a PR, so don't expect anything to happen quickly.
  3. OK, there's a 3rd problem, many forums. blags and websites in general disable the link once the page does get a PR of it's own.

Disabling a link can be done in several ways, but the mostly sleazy way is to leave the link looking live, but add a no follow tag to the link, so search engines see the link, but don't look at the website, and don't count it as a link. The trick is common with many many website owners, and like I said, I think it's very sleazy, if you are going to disable the link, at least be honest about it.

The do this because links from a page will leach that pages PR, so in other words it gives some of the Page rank to the place the link goes to..... which is how your website get's it's page rank your website get's bits of PR from each page that links to you.

So you may ask, well how can I get these links....
And I would answer... wait for another post.....
